چکیده
Background The COVID-19 pandemic has brought uncertainties to rheumatology practice, mainly related the possibility of triggering disease activity after infection in immune mediated rheumatic diseases (IMRD). To date, there are few data literature specifically evaluating this issue. Objectives Evaluate IMRD patients 6 months infection, compared pre status. Methods ReumaCoV Brasil is a longitudinal study performed at 35 centers designed follow-up for clinical or laboratorial diagnosis (cases), comparing with who had not time inclusion (controls). Demographic such as age, sex, comorbidities, characteristics, treatment, evolution and status were collected using Research Eletronic Data Capture (REDCap) database on three consecutive visits (inclusion months). analysis was carried out four highest number study: systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS) psoriatic (PsA). In addition specific assessment metrics, we used patient’s global (PGA), ranging from 0 10, all visits, being no 10 intense activity. All conclusions drawn considering significance level 5%. This registered Brazilian Registry Clinical Trials—REBEC, RBR-33YTQC. read signed informed consent form before inclusion. Results Between May 2020 January 2021, 2032 included registry, these, 1322 (721 cases 601 controls), completed follow-up, 550 SLE (42.0%), 497 RA (37.6%) 176 SpA (13.3%) 99 (7.4%) PsA. Most female (82.0%); median age 46.7 (13.8). Disease enrollment, according PGA, similar between controls, except AS, where it higher controls. After follow up time, worsening observed any evaluated case group (Table 1). Despite this, symptoms reported by 23.3%, 24.6%, 25.0% 25.8% SLE, RA, AS PsA respectively, Conclusion IMRD, cohort patients. many noticed symptoms, possibly associated activity, but so-called long COVID syndrome. Following the outbreak of Covid-19, many related studies were published rapidly around the world. In this study, we examined published or in-publication studies over the strategies to deal with Covid-19. To this end, 16 published scientific papers were investigated using content analysis and meta-analysis. As a result, 16 medical strategies and 3 macro-management strategies were extracted. Fina...
متن کاملHyperhomocysteinemia in Alzheimer dementia patients and cognitive decline after 6 months follow-up period.
PURPOSE White matter hyperintensities (WMHs) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are commonly found in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and may contribute to cognitive impairment. Plasma total homocysteine (tHcy) had also been linked with cognitive decline in AD. We examined the relationship among change of cognition, tHcy level, and WMHs on MRI in AD patients with a follow-up periods of 6 months. ME...

BACKGROUND The aims of the study are 1) to assess antiarrhythmic prophylaxis efficacy during the first 2 months after radiofrequency ablation (ARF) due to AF; 2) to define risk factors for early AF recurrence (EAFR) after ARF; 3) to determine the long-term follow-up results and risk factors for late AF recurrence (LAFR). METHODS A total number of 210 consecutive patients who had undergone ARF...
متن کاملInterpretation of Serologic Test Results and Evaluation of Humoral Immune Response After Vaccination Following Infection with COVID-19 Disease
SARS-CoV-2 virus infection induces a cellular and humoral mediated immune response and produces antibodies against viral antigens such as nucleocapsid (N) protein and spike (S) protein. Anti-protein S antibodies also target the spike protein subunit S1 and the receptor binding domain (RBD). Serologic tests can detect the presence of these antibodies in blood serum within a few days to a few wee...
